What is it about sex aids which seems to attract the talented Gyllenhaal siblings, Jake and Maggie?

First there was Love & Other Drugs in which Jake tangled with Viagra. Now older sister Maggie co-stars with Rupert Everett and Felicity Jones (pictured below) in a 19th Century British rom-com called Hysteria about the accidental discovery of the, 'erm, vibrator.

Apparently, Ms Jones, once of Ambridge and more recently Chalet Girl, plays "a very uptight young woman who will only find release at the end of the film," adding very quickly, "though it's never seen."
