Top and tailed with the UK premieres of Cowboys Vs Aliens and Fright Night, Empire magazine's inaugural Big Screen event at the 02 from August 12-14 promises to be a real movie extravaganza.

The organisers boast there will be "over 250 things to do" including a chance to meet the stars, live performances, exclusive screenings, worldwide debuts of new film footage and movie master classes.

In addition there is to be a special Star Wars event which will involve key members of the team from the sfx factory Industrial Light & Magic ahead of the release of the entire series on Blu-Ray.
