Young filmmakers on display

From August 15–26, the National Youth Film Academy is on the hunt to discover the UK’s most talented young filmmakers and actors, searching for the next Danny Boyle, Sam Taylor-Wood or Michael Caine in a pioneering new summer programme called Make It Happen.

Supported by the Directors Guild Trust and the Directors Guild of Great Britain, graduates will showcase their talents at the BFI Southbank in London at a special screening of their work on Friday August 26.

Over 3,000 budding young film fans auditioned for this groundbreaking new summer programme and 60 talented individuals have been hand-picked to take part in this exciting new scheme.

This group of 16-  to 25-year-olds will be given two weeks to train in their chosen field, to learn from respected industry professionals and meet with like-minded individuals to write, film and produce their own short film.
