Arnie's Aftermath

While big Arnie tries to sort out a few domestic problems ahead of an alleged screen comeback, Hollywood seems to be remaking old Schwarzenegger movies by the sprocket-full.

First up is a re-boot of his 30-year-old comic book epic Conan the Barbarian with Honolulu-born giant Jason Momoa taking on 'The Wheel of Pain' and a whole lot more sword-and-sorcery mayhem besides, as the eponymous muscle-bound Cimmerian.

Then, set for release a year from now, is a remake of 1990's Total Recall, in which our Austrian superhero has been supplanted by Irish but decidedly compact tough guy Colin Farrell in a new version of  spectacular sci-fi derived from Philip K Dick's classic futuristic story 'We Can Remember it For You Wholesale'.

Next they're be telling us that Jason Statham will be hunting down Predator while Javier Bardem switches up the Red Heat.
